For every £1 that you spend on natural search engine optimisation you get a longevity of result and repeat payback. Your search placing is unlikely to disappear from the Google listing immediately. Contrast this with PPC where each click has a direct cost and the benefit (if any) is gone immediately. If you stop paying for PPC then your page position disappears immediately so your investment in PPC has no long-term benefit for your online marketing.
